It’s half term! I’m pretty much bored of college already, so a break is refreshing. While we are on the topic of college : Media is cool. We are currently working on a short film. It will be my first piece of fiction I have ever made so I am pretty excited about that. Business is pretty good. ICT involves way too much work, and generally it’s horrible work.
I got my copy of The Glass Passenger by Jack’s Mannequin last week, which is actually my first physical copy of an album (I’m normally a 100% download kid via Napster but that’s a different story). It’s a pretty amazing album, I suggest you all listen to it a few times. In case you were wondering, the title of this blog entry is a nod to a song on the album.
Nicola suggested I listen to You Me At Six so I did, and they are pretty good! According to last.fm and my Zen, I have listened to songs from their debut album over 200 times in the past week. Which is quite a lot! Thanks Nicola!
But nothing can possibly top Razia’s Shadow : A Musical by Forgive Durden. It’s a musical. Characters are played by members of bands such as Brendon Urie of Panic at the Disco and Greta Salpeter of The Hush Sound. It’s an epic project. Every time I listen to it, I pick up more and more about the plot. The amount of alliteration used on this album is truly amazing. A serious contender for Album of the Year.
Enough about music. In other news :
• I am planning a trip to New York in 2010. Everyone is invited. Ask me for details. Things are being done on the cheap, but the cheap still requires significant money.
• I am adding the final touches to one-third of Hazardous Ink site which will be launching in a couple of weeks. You’ll be inspired.
• I am pondering the thought of buying a Moped.
• I am pondering the thought of buying a Mac mini whenever the updated version comes out.
• I am going to London on Tuesday.
• I am rewriting the people page, and updating the graphics & photography section of the site very soon.
Quote of the month : “You’re fit, but I have a boyfriend.”
Oh errm gee. That comment was very useful, I would even go as far as saying it was life changing.
For now, I bid you farewell. See you around yeah?
