Nicola: Kingston University is not like Kingston College you know! I don’t think I’ve ever managed flawless attendance, always seemed a bit pointless to me! You are doing Further Maths for a second year right? That suggests that you are clever enough to do anything.

But saying that: It’s really not about how clever you are when it comes to education. So don’t rule out your chances of uni so soon Ian. BTECs are accepted by some Universities, but obviously some don’t accept them. Remember that I am doing a OCR Diploma in Media, which is probably less accepted by universities. It limits my options to a handful of universities but it doesn’t mean I can’t go. Just keep your head down next year, and you’ll do fine.

I might take a gap year; nothing has really been set in stone yet. So you never know what will happen.

And it’s not actually a new uni, it’s been open since 1976 in it their current location. But they are relocating. It’s highly respected in the media industry.

Very nice Greg. I admit, you did suprise me. The University building looks like its made of glass and wrapped up in patchy camouflage. Hmm. But its a good choice from what I’ve seen - you’re taking a risk with a new university; who knows how good it’ll be? But I guess a risk is better than a regret.

Great Blog!
I have a friend at Bournemouth who’s on his last year of script writing; went to visit him once it’s a really nice area very modern and of course by the sea. Although I really want to go to University I fear that I am not clever enough, though if I can I will want go to either Newcastle or Liverpool for marketing. Are you going to take a GAP year?

Nice thinking there.
Personally my hopes of going to university have crashed. When I was doing my GCSE’s I always thought i’d apply to oxbridge. But then again my attendance was virtually flawless.
Since college started I’ve realised i’ll be lucky if Kingston accept me. And, If I go to every lesson left this week the world should be in shock.
I guess some things change. Seems we’ve done the opposite!

You’ll go far, I’m sure of it (:

I’m planning to go to either Bournmouth uni or the University of West England (In Bristol) to study computing (coding and networking and stuff)
I want to get out of London because everything’s so expensive here and I want to prove to myself that I can make my own way in the world, but I don’t want to be too far away in case something really major happens like my Mum’s in an accident or something and I need to come back to London to look after Ben.
But that’s just me
