  1. You kill me.

    July 16, 2009 by Greg

The end of the college year was slightly strange because everyone ended at different times. So the feeling of starting the summer holidays still really hasn’t set in. I have a funny feeling that this summer will be horribly dull. Nothing can compare to last summer really, especially seeing as I have virtually no plans. I could really do with going to a weird foreign country for a week or two, enjoying absoultely none of it, but that won’t happen.

One of the few things I do have planned is a Manchester Orchestra and Kevin Devine gig on Tuesday, followed by a Kevin Devine solo gig on Wednesday. I also saw Kevin Devine play late last month; he puts on one HELL of a show. If you haven’t heard of him, then make sure you check him out at some point. You won’t regret it.

After months of pondering whether I should go to the Reading Festival after Tallulah decided not to go, I thought ‘fuck it, I’m going’. There won’t ever be so many bands I want to see in one place for just £100. I think the line-up is pretty solid this year. I know plenty of people who are going, so finding somewhere to pitch up a pop-up tent won’t be too hard.

This week, my internet speed was updated from 2mb/s to 10mb/s, which is hardly noticeable at times seeing as I don’t actually download much. But I appreciate the extra speed, regardless! Somewhat related: I’m in the process of redesigning this very website, which has been a long time coming! The current design has been used for almost a year, minus a minor change. Next week will be a perfect time to make a start on actually coding the site, with most other people either going on holiday or camping.

Shoot me some comments, I’m horribly bored. Feel free to make plans for me, or something. Also: if there is anything you want to see on this goddamn website, then let me know. I have plenty of free time, so anything is possible.

This wasn’t a particularly interesting blog entry, but it was short and sweet! But to end: a personal message, in public. If you are reading this, which you probably are, I would appreciate it if you could actually acknowledge the fact that I wasted 500 words trying to explain myself to you. It’s the least you could do after what you did.

  2. Be Sensible.

Hello! This is a long blog entry, it’s my longest yet. I’m hoping a couple of you will read all of it, but Philip White definitely won’t be reading it all seeing as he disregarded everything I said in my last blog entry by asking when the new Manchester Orchestra album was coming out. The answer is: it came out two months ago. It’s not like the whole blog entry was about the new album or anything. Seriously!? Some people. (more…)

  3. Manchester Orchestra Mean Everything.

    June 19, 2009 by Greg

A year ago today, I first download the album ‘I’m Like a Virgin Losing a Child’ by Manchester Orchestra. Since then, they have become my favourite band, as I’m sure most of you already know. And for those unaware of this band: Where exactly have you been? (more…)
